What this site collects, which is very little.
nomatteryourpast.com is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, no forms, no sign-ups, and no tracking of you across the internet.

No cookies, no analytics, no advertising.
We set no cookies. We run no analytics. We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or profiling of any kind. Nothing you do on these pages is recorded by us.
One third party sees a request when your browser loads a page: Cloudflare, which serves the site and may log your IP address briefly for security and abuse prevention. Cloudflare operates under its own privacy terms, which we don't control.
The typefaces on this site are hosted on our own domain rather than pulled from a third party. Your browser never contacts Google, or any other font provider, to render this page.
Email is the only thing we receive.
If you email stories@nomatteryourpast.com or any other address here, we receive whatever you send. That correspondence is stored in our own Microsoft 365 tenant and, where it relates to a possible episode, in our own private storage.
We do not use third-party form services, CRMs, or intake tools, so a first message about your life doesn't pass through a vendor. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share, sell, or disclose what you write — except where the law requires it, such as our obligations as mandated reporters under Pennsylvania law when a child is at risk.
Ask us to delete your correspondence at any time and we will, subject to any record we're legally required to keep.
Podcast apps have their own set of rules.
When you follow a link to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or our host's player, you're on their platform under their privacy policy. They may collect listening data we never see. Our host provides us aggregate download counts and rough geography — never anything that identifies an individual listener.
If the show carries ads.
Episodes may carry sponsorship or advertising — that's how a show like this pays for itself. Ads you hear in an episode don't change what this site collects, which remains nothing.
If that ever changes — if we begin collecting analytics or demographic information to support advertising — this policy will be rewritten to say so plainly before any collection starts, and anything we ask of listeners, like a survey, will be clearly voluntary. The date at the top of this page is your signal that something moved.
Questions about any of this.
Write to michael@mhrcreatives.com. This policy may change; the date above reflects the current version.
